About the Role
Our client, a specialist in commercial and industrial construction, is looking for a meticulous Payroll Analyst to oversee comprehensive payroll operations. This role focuses on ensuring precise and prompt payroll processing for employees across Canada and the US, within a fast-moving construction environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle all payroll activities for Canadian and US employees with full compliance to applicable laws.
- Perform detailed variance analysis to detect and rectify payroll inconsistencies.
- Reconcile payroll records and ensure accurate documentation and reporting.
- Ensure adherence to Davis Bacon Act regulations in all payroll processes.
- Coordinate with Human Resources and Finance departments for seamless payroll data integration.
- Generate and present payroll reports to management teams.
- Keep current with evolving payroll-related legislation to maintain compliance.
- Support internal and external payroll audits by providing necessary documents and information.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of three years’ payroll processing experience, ideally within the construction industry.
- Strong expertise with Variance Analysis, Canadian and US payroll systems, account reconciliation, and Davis Bacon compliance.
- Exceptional numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to quickly identify and resolve discrepancies using strong problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with payroll software and associated tools.
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
- Highly organized and capable of handling multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
