Payroll Analyst

About the Role

Our client, a specialist in commercial and industrial construction, is looking for a meticulous Payroll Analyst to oversee comprehensive payroll operations. This role focuses on ensuring precise and prompt payroll processing for employees across Canada and the US, within a fast-moving construction environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle all payroll activities for Canadian and US employees with full compliance to applicable laws.
• Perform detailed variance analysis to detect and rectify payroll inconsistencies.
• Reconcile payroll records and ensure accurate documentation and reporting.
• Ensure adherence to Davis Bacon Act regulations in all payroll processes.
• Coordinate with Human Resources and Finance departments for seamless payroll data integration.
• Generate and present payroll reports to management teams.
• Keep current with evolving payroll-related legislation to maintain compliance.
• Support internal and external payroll audits by providing necessary documents and information.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum of three years’ payroll processing experience, ideally within the construction industry.
• Strong expertise with Variance Analysis, Canadian and US payroll systems, account reconciliation, and Davis Bacon compliance.
• Exceptional numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to quickly identify and resolve discrepancies using strong problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with payroll software and associated tools.
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
• Highly organized and capable of handling multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

Compensation and Benefits

• Annual salary ranging from $70,000 to $85,000.
