About the Role

Elmi Olindo Contractors Private Limited Company is seeking a skilled Office Engineer to join their team. The position involves supporting project cost management, scheduling, documentation, contract administration, and quantity surveying tasks in a construction environment.

Key Duties

  • Develop detailed cost breakdowns, estimates, and reports to control project expenses.
  • Create and oversee project timelines and schedules, with favored experience using Primavera P6 software.
  • Prepare, examine, and maintain technical documents and project records accurately.
  • Assist in managing contracts, including handling variations, claims, and other contractual paperwork.
  • Perform office-based quantity surveying activities such as take-offs, Bill of Quantities (BOQ) preparation and review, measurements, and valuations.
  • Review subcontractor bids, measurements, and supporting payment documentation.
  • Compile progress reports and other essential technical documentation.
  • Collaborate effectively with project managers, site engineers, quantity surveyors, and other team members to ensure project success.

Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Engineering.
  • Between 2 to 4 years of practical work experience in construction projects.
  • Proficient in cost estimation, cost breakdowns, and cost control techniques.
  • Knowledgeable in project scheduling; Primavera P6 expertise is preferred.
  • Experienced in handling technical documentation and contract management.
  • Competent in quantity surveying, measurements, and valuations.
  • Skilled with Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and Word.
  • Strong analytical abilities coupled with effective communication, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to independently manage tasks and perform well under pressure.
  • Good understanding of construction methodologies, BOQ preparation, measurement techniques, and project documentation standards.
