Role Overview

This full-time, on-site Locum Dentist role is based in Bulawayo and involves delivering general dental care to adult and paediatric patients. Qualifications and Experience

  • Possession of a recognized dental degree with current registration or eligibility to register with the pertinent dental council or authority.
  • Proven experience in general dentistry, including examinations, restorative treatments, and basic oral surgery for adults.
  • Experience or keen interest in paediatric dentistry, demonstrating sensitivity and effectiveness in working with children and their families.
  • Thorough understanding of infection control protocols, clinical safety, and evidence-based dental practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of explaining treatment plans clearly and building patient trust.
  • Excellent organizational abilities, meticulous clinical record-keeping, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to integrate and cooperate within a multi-disciplinary dental team and adapt flexibly to various clinical workflows typical of a locum role.
  • Dedication to providing compassionate, equitable, and ethical patient care while respecting confidentiality guidelines.
  • Prior experience working in a busy dental surgery environment and familiarity with dental practice management software is advantageous.
