The opportunity
Veolia is looking for a Heavy Rigid (HR) driver to join its Gnangara, Western Australia team. The role offers the chance to learn to operate different types of collection vehicles while safely handling heavy vehicles used to collect general waste and cardboard/recycling from clients.
Working pattern
This is a Monday to Friday role with a start time between 5:00am and 6:15am. Work on public holidays is required and will be paid as overtime.
Key responsibilities
- Work on secure, long-term waste collection contracts.
- Move waste streams to approved disposal sites.
- Deliver strong service to both internal teams and external customers.
- Build the ability to operate a range of vehicles and equipment.
What you need
- A valid HR licence is mandatory.
- Previous experience driving an HR vehicle is preferred.
- Good knowledge of the Perth region is important.
- A strong focus on safety is essential.
