Job description
Overview
At JurongHealth Campus, part of the National University Health System in Singapore, patient care is our utmost priority. Responsibilities
- Generate and manage patient meal orders along with meal summaries.
- Address enquiries and resolve complaints related to patient meals.
- Monitor critical control points including reheating procedures, as well as chiller and freezer temperatures, and take prompt corrective action in case of deviations.
- Report maintenance and repair needs to the One Response Centre (ORC).
- Perform the Checker role by verifying meal assembly against order chits prior to loading meals into trolleys.
- Strictly uphold standards concerning food hygiene, critical control points, Halal requirements, and workplace safety.
- Promptly notify supervisors about any workplace safety, food safety, or operational issues.
- Coordinate and produce all catering orders effectively.
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area after each dishing or assembly session.
- Follow all directions provided by the Supervisor.
Requirements
- Minimum educational qualification of GCE ‘N’ Level, ‘O’ Level, or Nitec; diploma holders will have an advantage.
- Five to seven years of supervisory experience in hospital settings, upscale hotels, restaurants, or high-volume food service operations.
- Certification in Basic Food Hygiene is required.
- Good command of spoken English; proficiency in an additional language is a plus.
- Basic skills in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with Electronic Meal Ordering Systems is beneficial.
- Excellent communication and customer service capabilities.
- Ability to work in a cold room environment with temperatures ranging from 4 to 18 degrees Celsius.
- Physical fitness and strength are necessary.
