Role Overview
Amazon Entertainment is searching for a seasoned HR expert to lead the design of our executive talent strategy for the creative and technology-centered Entertainment sector, including music, games, podcasts, and other media. This position offers a chance to shape the talent evolution at one of the globe's most innovative enterprises. Collaborate closely with senior Entertainment leaders to navigate workforce transformation driven by AI advancements.
This role is distinct from recruiting and talent acquisition. Candidates with prior HR Business Partner experience supporting senior executives, strong business insights, executive coaching skills, organizational design knowledge, excellent communication abilities, and project management strengths are ideal. Presenting confidently before executive and C-suite leaders and facilitating high-level discussions is essential.
The successful candidate must excel in ambiguous environments and possess a problem-solving mindset for complex talent and organizational challenges. Aligning with Amazon's overarching talent timelines, you will innovate and tailor talent processes suited specifically for Entertainment executives.
About the Business
This role is within Amazon's People eXperience and Technology (PXT) group, which creates an inventive workplace for Amazonians. The Entertainment PXT unit supports diverse entertainment ventures such as film, TV, sports, music, podcasts, games, audiobooks, and live streaming. The team specializes in attracting, nurturing, and retaining creative, technical, and business talent while customizing solutions for the unique Entertainment sector.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and continuously iterate talent review and cyclical talent management processes for the Entertainment sector.
- Partner closely with HR Business Partners, leaders, analytics teams, and central Amazon talent groups.
- Act as a trusted advisor on talent matters to business and HR leaders, enhancing service offerings.

- Proven expertise in talent management execution, including succession planning, career development, organizational reviews, and diversity integration.
- Comfortable creating structure in ambiguous contexts and knowledgeable in talent lifecycle program management.

Day-to-Day
The leader will quickly establish credibility with HR and business executives, developing deep knowledge of the Entertainment business areas. Responsibilities include guiding the organization through critical talent processes, refining talent management approaches, developing effective communications, and reimagining talent strategies for creative professionals.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, HR, Program Management, Employment Law, Computer Science, Finance, Operations Research, Engineering, or related fields.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in HR, talent acquisition, management consulting, or program/project management.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
- Strong executive-level verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience owning operational processes from inception through change management and communication.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with compensation, total rewards, performance management, compliance, organization design, and talent development.
- Experience managing HR or talent development initiatives.

Amazon offers competitive base salaries between $125,800 and $170,200 annually depending on location, along with sign-on bonuses, restricted stock units, extensive health and wellness benefits, 401(k) matching, paid leave, and other perks. Final compensation will consider factors such as experience, skills, and job location.
