Role Overview

Join Boyle Sports in Collooney as a part-time Customer Service Assistant within our retail department. Reporting directly to the Shop Manager, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional service by maintaining a friendly, knowledgeable, and supportive approach to customers. Your duties include aiding the Shop Manager and team to ensure smooth daily operations, upholding high store standards, processing bets accurately, and sometimes managing shop operations including opening and closing.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Shop Manager and Assistant Manager in daily store management.
• Take charge of shop operations during manager absences, including opening and closing the store, guiding the team, and handling cash management.
• Occasionally manage the shop, which provides growth and development opportunities.
• Work in a dynamic retail environment while receiving ongoing training to enhance skills and career progression.
• Offer an excellent customer experience through helpful and informed interactions.
• Process bets promptly and accurately via various channels such as betting terminals and EPOS systems.
• Serve as a brand ambassador, introducing customers to the multi-channel and digital betting journey.
• Maintain composure under pressure and consistently seek ways to enhance personal and store performance.
• Keep high presentation standards throughout the working day.
• Ensure compliance with safety, operational, and social responsibility procedures.
• Collaborate effectively within a team and promote the company’s products and digital offerings.

Qualification & Experience

• Strong customer service orientation with integrity and trustworthiness.
• Flexible availability as the business operates seven days a week.
• Adaptability within a retail setting and excellent attention to detail with strong numeracy skills.
• Friendly and proactive, able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Keen interest in sports and confidence in engaging customers to build rapport.
• Ambitious, result-driven, and motivated to advance within the company.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Organized, reliable, and capable of handling cash responsibly.
• Retail or industry experience is advantageous but not mandatory, as full training is provided.
