About the Company
FieldCore operates within GE Vernova’s Gas Power business and supports field services for power generation equipment. The broader GE Vernova organization is a global energy company focused on helping accelerate electrification and decarbonization across power, wind, and electrification businesses, backed by advanced research, consulting, and financial services capabilities.
As part of the One Field Services team, FieldCore helps install, maintain, and upgrade equipment used in power generation so customers can run more dependable and cost-effective energy systems.
Role Overview
The Tooling Coordinator will oversee tooling records, warehouse coordination, visual checks, calibration tracking, and shipping support. This role also involves keeping database information current so that tooling and material status remains accurate at all times. Additional duties may be assigned in support of FieldCore’s goals and core values.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor open tooling and calibration work orders and ensure they move through the process.
- Track shipments going to customers and Field Service Representatives, including items sent for repair use and tools returned for calibration.
- Keep supplies and kit contents stocked so each kit contains the required tools and quantities.
- Record tools that have been calibrated, as well as those still awaiting calibration.
- Enter newly purchased tools into the database.
- Prepare, package, and coordinate supplies required for outages.
- Check each kit before dispatch to confirm the template and calibration certificate are included.
- Raise purchase orders when stock runs low and replenish tools and supplies from vendors.
- Manage warranty records and request replacement parts from manufacturers or vendors within warranty coverage.
- Work with Service Managers to coordinate shipping so kits arrive on time and repaired kits are sent back from sites as needed.
- Inspect specialized kits returned from sites, verify completeness, and replace missing or worn items.
- Keep Field Service Tooling procedures updated and followed to maintain compliance.
- Prepare and submit billing reports.
- Maintain warehouse housekeeping in line with EHS requirements.
- Ensure kits are delivered by the customer-requested date listed on the service work order.
- Maintain records for kits that have already been processed.
- Create and handle purchase orders for replacement kit parts.
- Stock tools and kit components according to each site’s specification requirements.
- Deliver kits on time and with no quality issues such as missing or non-working parts.
- Carry out additional tasks as assigned.
- Travel may be required.
- Be willing to work holidays, weekends, and overtime when field work requires it.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree, or 2 years of experience in a sourcing-related position, or a high school diploma plus 5 years of experience in logistics planning and execution.
- Ability to read and understand technical manuals.
- Strong teamwork mindset and adaptability to changing business needs.
- Customer-first approach.
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Well-developed organizational skills.
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks and priorities while staying effective in a fast-moving, pressure-filled environment.
