About the Role
We are seeking a permanent Supply Chain Executive to join our team in Dubai within the FMCG sector. This role involves overseeing comprehensive supply chain activities, such as procurement, inventory management, logistics, and distribution, ensuring seamless operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the complete supply chain cycle, encompassing procurement, inventory control, logistics, and distribution processes.
- Collaborate with suppliers to secure timely material procurement and maintain balanced inventory levels.
- Monitor stock quantities and demand forecasts to avoid shortages or surplus inventory.
- Handle import and export documentation, coordinating with freight forwarders, customs officials, and logistics companies.
- Track shipments to guarantee punctual delivery and resolve any logistical challenges.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery conditions with vendors to reduce costs and improve services.
- Assess supplier performance and nurture strong vendor partnerships.
- Process purchase orders, track their status, and assure timely completion.
- Maintain accurate supply chain documentation and generate reports using ERP software and advanced Excel functions.
- Work closely with internal departments including Sales, Finance, and Warehouse to facilitate smooth operations.
- Identify and implement process improvements aimed at increasing efficiency and lowering operational expenses.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
- A minimum of five years experience in supply chain management, procurement, or logistics.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or related areas.
- Strong comprehension of procurement procedures, inventory systems, and logistics coordination.
- Familiarity with import and export regulatory documentation and shipment handling.
- Proficiency with ERP systems, particularly Odoo, and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent negotiation abilities and vendor relationship management skills.
- Strong analytical skills coupled with exceptional organizational and communication capabilities.
- Capability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a dynamic environment.
