Position Overview
The Service Porter will play a vital role in the service department by managing vehicle logistics and ensuring a superior customer experience. Your responsibilities include safely transporting vehicles within the dealership, supporting service staff, and maintaining operational efficiency in a high-paced setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Warmly welcome customers at the service drive and assist with vehicle intake procedures.
- Transport customer vehicles securely to parking lots, service bays, or wash areas.
- Prepare and retrieve vehicles for customer pick-up, ensuring cleanliness and readiness.
- Keep service driveways, parking areas, and dealership grounds clean and orderly.
- Support technicians and service advisors with vehicle staging to optimize shop workflow.
- Conduct basic pre-service vehicle inspections, including fuel, tire, and exterior checks.
- Assist with shuttle service operations as needed.
- Manage dealership loaner or rental vehicles by inspecting and refueling them.
- Adhere strictly to dealership, manufacturer, and safety protocols in vehicle and equipment handling.
- Perform additional duties assigned by management.
Requirements
- Possess a valid driver's license with a spotless driving history.
- Prior experience in automotive or customer service environments is advantageous.
- Comfortable driving vehicles with both automatic and manual transmissions; training provided if necessary.
- Strong focus on detail and safety standards.
- Capable of working outdoors in diverse weather and maintaining physical activity during shifts.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with adaptability to fast-paced conditions.
- Dependable, punctual, presentable, and professional in communication.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

- Competitive hourly wages ranging from $16 to $18 CAD.
