Position Overview
As a Lot Attendant, you will ensure the dealership’s vehicle inventory is well-organized, clean, and presented attractively in compliance with OEM and dealership standards. You will facilitate daily lot operations including vehicle arrangement, movement, basic inspections, and upkeep of indoor and outdoor display areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Arrange and organize vehicles on the dealership lot according to safety and presentation guidelines
- Operate vehicles to move them between the lot, service bays, detail stations, and showroom as needed
- Inspect vehicles upon arrival for damage, ensure they are clean, fueled, and ready for display
- Assist in staging vehicles for test drives, sales meetings, and dealership events
- Perform lot maintenance tasks such as snow removal from vehicles, cleaning windshields, and maintaining curb appeal
- Support the sales team by preparing vehicles for customer presentations and deliveries
- Apply dealer plates, window stickers, hangtags, and merchandising materials on vehicles
- Perform regular lot inspections to verify vehicle placement and report any discrepancies
- Help transport vehicles to and from offsite locations when necessary
- Follow all dealership safety and OEM guidelines diligently
- Complete other assigned tasks as directed by management
Candidate Qualifications
- Prior experience in automotive lot operations or related roles is advantageous but not mandatory
- Capability to safely drive vehicles with manual and automatic transmissions
- Strong focus on detail, with ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Comfortable working outdoors in diverse weather conditions
- Dependable, punctual, and able to perform physically active duties
- Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
