Senior Technician Lead - Greenskeeper

Role Summary

The Greenskeeper serves as a vital member of the golf course maintenance crew, entrusted with maintaining the aesthetic and playability of the greens, fairways, tees, and bunkers. This role involves physical tasks, landscape maintenance, and handling specialized turf machinery to provide an exceptional golfing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate various mowers, including walk-behind and ride-on types, to precisely cut turf areas such as greens, fairways, tees, aprons, and roughs following exacting course guidelines.
• Manage course setup duties such as relocating hole positions, adjusting tee markers to minimize turf wear, emptying trash bins, and servicing ball washers.
• Maintain bunkers and hazards by raking sand surfaces manually or with mechanical rakes, trimming edges, and removing debris.
• Carry out landscaping tasks including hedge trimming, clearing dew and leaves, planting flowers, and controlling weeds or brush near the course.
• Support irrigation activities by monitoring turf moisture levels, performing hand-watering on dry patches, and assisting in detection or repair of faulty irrigation lines.
• Assist with turf restoration efforts, involving laying sod, reseeding, aerating soil, and repairing divots and ball marks.
• Conduct routine maintenance and safety inspections on tools and turf machinery before and after use.

• Adhere strictly to all applicable policies, standard operating procedures, and guidelines to ensure consistent, controlled, and safe work practices.
• Support the preparation of detailed and timely installation reports for monitoring the Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment (FFE) installations zonally.

Implement safety, quality, and environmental protocols to maintain employee safety, comply with regulations, ensure high-quality service delivery, and promote environmental stewardship.

Continuous Improvement

Participate in identifying and promoting opportunities to enhance systems, processes, and practices in alignment with international best practices aimed at boosting efficiency, reducing costs, and improving productivity.

Collaboration and Communication

Maintain constructive interactions internally with C3 Group, Red Sea Global, and client project teams, as well as externally with suppliers, subcontractors, operators, end users, and auditors where relevant.

Qualifications and Experience

• Prior experience in landscaping, farming, or groundskeeping is advantageous but not mandatory; comprehensive on-the-job training will be provided.
• A valid driving license is generally required for operating utility vehicles within the property.

Required Skills and Physical Abilities

• Flexibility to work early morning shifts (usually starting between 5:00-6:00 AM) and participate in mandatory rotating weekend shifts.
• Physical endurance to perform demanding manual labor, including lifting up to 50 pounds (23 kg), and sustaining prolonged walking or standing across varying weather conditions.
• Competence in safely maneuvering utility vehicles such as golf carts along with the use of handheld and powered tools and motorized lawn maintenance equipment.
