Role Summary
The Facility Technician plays a vital role in multiple plant operations, including tasks like drum pumping, dumping, and truck offloading/loading, all performed in adherence to Department of Transportation regulations (TDG). This role is part of a safety-driven team that values health and safety as a primary priority every day.
Primary Responsibilities
- Operate a forklift as needed, ensuring all pre-operation safety checks are performed and documented daily.
- Manage and complete all necessary paperwork for accurate waste tracking and movement documentation.
- Execute duties strictly following Company and Health and Safety Standard Operating Procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the work environment.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned to support plant operations.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team setting.
- Minimum educational qualification of High School diploma or equivalent.
- Physical capability to lift materials weighing up to 50 pounds and perform general labor tasks such as loading and moving materials.
- Familiarity with Windows-based software and mobile handheld device operation.
- Understanding of hazardous waste handling procedures.
- Previous experience working in an industrial environment is preferred.
- Capability to function efficiently in a demanding work atmosphere.
Compensation and Benefits
- Starting wage of $20 per hour.
- Standard work schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
