Key duties

  • Carry out water blasting and abrasive blasting on hulls and structural components.
  • Prepare vessel hulls and structures through sanding, masking, and demasking.
  • Complete filling and fairing work for ship side and hull repairs.
  • Apply primer, undercoat, and topcoat across all paint systems and surfaces.
  • Use airless spray equipment and pot gun spraying on vessel hulls and structures.
  • Perform brush and roller painting where required.
  • Act as fire watch or confined-space watch when instructed by a supervisor or manager.
  • Keep the work area clean, organised, and productive.
  • Assist other areas of the business when needed.
  • Work in line with AS/NZS ISO 9001:2008 quality management system requirements.
