Job Overview
The Android Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting mobile applications tailored for Android platforms, focusing on ensuring high functionality, user experience, and efficient performance.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and uphold Android apps utilizing Java and Kotlin languages.
- Integrate multiple APIs, software development kits (SDKs), and backend services within applications.
- Guarantee compatibility of apps across a variety of Android devices and operating system versions.
- Apply secure coding standards and optimize software to enhance performance.
- Work collaboratively with design teams and backend engineers to align development efforts.
- Conduct unit testing and resolve technical issues prior to app release.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a similar technical discipline.
- A minimum of 2 years and up to 4 years of professional experience in Android application development.
- Strong command of Android Studio environment and associated frameworks.
- Applicants must currently reside in Qatar.
Preferred Certifications
- Google Associate Android Developer (AAD) certification.
- Kotlin Certified Developer credential.
- Firebase Developer Certification.
