Team Overview
The team focuses on ensuring HR compliance and nurturing employee relations by aligning company policies with legal and regulatory requirements. A crucial function includes acting as a liaison between the company and employee representative bodies to promote compliance, enhance communication, and safeguard employee rights, fostering a transparent and equitable work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with global stakeholders, legal, and HR teams to design and execute strategies involving works councils, identifying critical topics and communication approaches.
- Engage directly with works councils, build trust with regional leaders and council members, conduct negotiations on subjects like IT, performance management, employee movement, and company policies, and prepare relevant documentation.
- Provide expert advice to business leaders and HRBP teams on co-determination and labor law issues; develop compliance training programs as necessary.
- Coordinate with global cross-functional teams on HR and works council initiatives, supporting regional implementation within EMEA.
- Manage daily operations related to works councils, including employee affairs across sites, training, data requests, resource management, and process refinement.
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience in human resources, specifically involving local works councils in Germany.
- Exceptional skills in communication, negotiation, mediation, and strategic documentation writing.
- Strong adaptability, eagerness to grow, and effective conflict resolution abilities.
- Capability to thrive in fast-paced, cross-functional settings.
- Preferred: Experience in employment law or industrial relations with knowledge of works council matters.
- Good grasp of industrial relations, employee social dialogue, and labour law trends across EMEA.
