Work Location
The role is based at the NZ Aluminium Smelter on Tiwai Peninsula, Southland, utilizing renewable hydroelectric power to produce aluminium with a remarkably low carbon footprint. The smelter mainly uses alumina from Rio Tinto's Yarwun and Queensland refineries. Approximately 90% of the aluminium produced is exported. The smelter is a joint venture between Rio Tinto (79.36%) and Sumitomo Chemical Company (20.64%).
