Join Tetra Pak in Hamilton, New Zealand, as a Project Engineer specializing in Powder Handling within our food solution sector. We dedicate ourselves to ensuring food safety and availability worldwide, and we seek motivated individuals to contribute to this ambition.
Key Responsibilities
As a vital member of the Powder Handling team, you will be engaged in conceptual development, detailed mechanical engineering design, and project execution specifically for milk powder systems. Responsibilities include preparing P&IDs, fabrication layouts, mechanical drawings, and as-built documentation. You will oversee project budgets and collaborate closely with clients. Additionally, hands-on involvement in installation, commissioning, and validation phases forms a significant part of the role. A travel commitment approximating 25% to customer sites is expected.
Qualifications and Skills
Applicants should have a background in mechanical or process engineering, having obtained a degree or diploma such as NZCE, with 3 to 5 years of relevant engineering experience. Essential skills encompass expertise in powder food process design, equipment and machinery design, writing functional specifications, and sizing flow elements like pumps and pneumatic systems. Knowledge of cost management, especially using SAP, and proficiency in software applications including MS Word, Excel, Project, AutoCAD (2D/3D), and Inventor are required. Strong understanding of process technologies and standards coupled with autonomous project management capabilities is vital.
