About ILOS
ILOS is an expanding renewable energy organization with a significant presence across Europe, supported by BNP Paribas Asset Management Alts. Since 2018, the company has focused on developing, constructing, and operating large-scale solar photovoltaic projects in seven core markets.
Role Summary
The Global Head of Construction will lead and manage the construction operations throughout ILOS's international markets. This leadership position encompasses oversight of country construction heads and teams, enforcing uniform delivery standards, improving governance, and advancing a modern, quality-centric construction methodology. Initial focus markets include Ireland and Italy, with growth anticipated into the UK and Germany.
Key Duties
- Direct leadership and management of construction leads and their in-country teams.
- Develop and enforce consistent construction methodologies, procedures, and standards across all operational countries.
- Support the execution of large-scale renewable energy projects, initially focusing on Ireland and Italy, preparing for expansion into additional markets.
- Promote a contemporary, quality-first project delivery culture suitable for scalable growth.
- Enhance construction governance, reporting, control frameworks, and performance measurement.
- Foster thorough accountability, teamwork, ongoing improvement, and a positive delivery atmosphere within construction teams.
- Introduce innovative tools, software, and systems to improve project planning, reporting, communication, and execution.
- Collaborate with country teams and internal departments ensuring alignment with project timelines, budgets, quality standards, safety, and commercial objectives.
Candidate Profile
- Extensive senior-level management experience in construction within renewable energy, infrastructure, power, utilities, or related fields.
- Proven track record working internationally managing construction across multiple nations or markets.
- Strong commitment to quality with experience in implementing consistent delivery standards in complex construction environments.
- Commercially savvy, understanding program management, budgeting, risk mitigation, contractor oversight, and project controls.
- Experience enhancing construction governance, reporting mechanisms, controls, and performance evaluation.
- Technologically adept with ability to adopt and implement new construction management software and tools.
- Successful history of building and leading effective, multi-site/multi-country construction teams.
Additional Information
The role is based in Germany and includes regular travel to the Karlsruhe headquarters and project sites in Ireland, Italy, and the UK. Candidates who excel will help shape the future of clean energy by contributing to a dedicated team.
