Job description

About the Role

This position is for a Director of Capital Formation & Investor Relations within a well-established financial group based in Germany, which is institutionally anchored. The role is situated ahead of a potential public offering. Backed by a premium circle of European cornerstone investors including foundations, major banks, insurance companies, and industrial holdings, the role involves both deepening existing investor relationships strategically and proactively acquiring new institutional investors, family offices, and sovereign wealth funds across Europe and principal international markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and strategically expand current investor relations while systematically securing new investors at decision-maker level.
  • Design and manage large-scale capital raising initiatives, refine investment narratives, and oversee the entire process lifecycle through to closing.
  • Lead negotiations with institutional investors and high-net-worth individuals.
  • Collaborate closely with the executive board, supervisory committees, and senior leadership.
  • Represent the company at conferences, investor forums, and bilateral meetings across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.

Candidate Profile

  • Outstanding academic credentials, preferably from a distinguished European university or business school.
  • Several years of experience in investment banking, senior private banking, or venture capital/private equity environments.
  • Proven track record in raising substantial capital volumes.
  • A robust, well-maintained network at decision-making levels, ideally including access to sovereign wealth funds from countries such as Norway, Singapore, and the Middle East.
  • Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in German is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated resilience and perseverance to manage extensive investment processes spanning many months or years, with high tolerance for frustration and tenacity.
  • Composed, refined demeanor with strong commitment, discretion, and sophistication.
  • A mindset oriented towards a long-term professional career.
