Job description
Role Summary
Join Amazon's Transportation Risk and Compliance (TRC) team as a Transportation Audit & Compliance Specialist located in Berlin. This role involves evaluating carriers to ensure they adhere to contract and regulatory obligations, championing compliance internally and externally, and enhancing audit efficiency through automation.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform thorough audits of transportation carriers to confirm adherence to contractual and legal standards.
- Generate detailed audit reports for carriers and internal teams, outlining findings and actionable corrective and preventive measures.
- Develop and implement semi-automated audit workflows using tools such as Python, SQL, and AI technologies.
- Initiate new audit projects aligned with legal and business requirements.
- Collaborate on special projects as required and maintain strong partnerships across Legal, Risk, and Carrier Operations teams.
Typical Daily Activities
- Manage and execute carrier audits in cooperation with various internal stakeholders.
- Present audit outcomes with recommendations to enhance compliance.
- Facilitate meetings promoting compliance culture among teams and carriers.
- Resolve compliance inquiries from carriers.
- Implement automation strategies to improve audit speed and quality.
- Explore and support new transport initiatives by establishing related audit frameworks.
Team Overview
The TRC team empowers Amazon Transportation Services and partners to operate ethically and compliantly, providing data-driven risk management insights to support business scalability and growth.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and hierarchical levels.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant industry role.
- Fluent proficiency in spoken and written English and Bulgarian.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in risk, fraud analysis, or compliance.
- Additional language skills in Lithuanian and/or Czech are advantageous.
