Role Overview
The Senior Manager, Commercial Development, spearheads strategic planning and commercial initiatives within the Global Sales & Distribution division. This leadership role focuses on fostering revenue growth, enhancing cost efficiency, and delivering long-term business value by guiding a team responsible for strategic and commercial planning as well as corporate and agency dealings.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and implement strategic and commercial projects across Global Sales & Distribution to drive revenue, improve efficiency, and maximize business value.
- Provide overarching strategic leadership and collaborate closely with senior stakeholders to execute complex, company-wide commercial initiatives.
- Drive enhancements to Corporate and Agency Dealing frameworks while managing strategic partnerships with key airline partners.
- Lead team development and foster cross-functional collaboration with departments such as Revenue Management, Loyalty, Marketing, Legal, and Communications.
- Ensure alignment of Sales & Distribution priorities with wider Group objectives, emphasizing governance, planning, and successful execution of initiatives.
Candidate Profile
- Possess 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in strategy, commercial development, consulting, or similar commercial leadership roles.
- Hold tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Economics, or equivalent professional experience.
- Demonstrated success in crafting and executing commercial and business strategies.
- Strong commercial insight balancing strategic, financial, operational, and technological factors.
- Skilled in influencing and engaging executive management and senior leadership teams.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying complex information clearly to senior audiences.
- Proven experience managing stakeholders and achieving outcomes across multiple business areas.
- Effective people leadership skills with a track record of coaching, developing, and motivating high-performance teams.
- Able to manage multiple concurrent projects in a complex and fast-moving environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Highly motivated and proactive, capable of independent work and prioritization.
