Security Officer

Position Summary

As a Security Officer, you will patrol the entire property and assist guests with room entry. Monitoring includes Closed Circuit Televisions, perimeter alarms, duress alarms, and fire life safety systems. Responsibilities also involve securing property entrances as needed and performing regular physical hazard inspections.

Respond promptly to accidents by contacting Emergency Medical Services or administering first aid/CPR when necessary. Support guests and employees during emergencies and notify appropriate parties in case of accidents, attacks, or other incidents. Manage disturbances involving guests or employees and request external assistance if required.

Complete detailed incident reports documenting all security and loss prevention occurrences, handle interruptions and complaints, and address safety hazards effectively. Escort unauthorized individuals off the premises while maintaining smooth property operations. Attend to vehicle accident or theft scenes, communicate using appropriate codes, and prepare daily security activity summaries.

Maintain strict confidentiality of all security and loss prevention documentation, only disclosing information to authorized personnel. Conduct investigations, gather evidence, and interview involved parties.

Adhere to all company protocols including safety procedures, incident reporting, uniform standards, and confidentiality commitments to protect company assets. Greet all guests warmly and comply with service standards, including assisting guests with disabilities and ensuring clear, professional communication. Foster positive teamwork to accomplish common objectives. Meet quality assurance requirements consistently.

Physical demands include standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods; visual inspection of information and equipment; use of computers or point-of-sale systems; mobility over varied surfaces and confined spaces; lifting and moving objects up to 50 pounds independently and heavier items with assistance; and performing tasks involving fine motor skills and reach. Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• No prior work or supervisory experience required
• No specific licenses or certifications needed
