Role Overview
Kelleher + Holland, LLC is actively searching for a skilled and detail-focused Paralegal to bolster our expanding general practice sectors, including corporate law, real estate, and estate planning. This position plays a crucial role in offering superior client service and ensuring precise and timely aiding of both attorneys and clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Arrange and oversee document signing processes, including notarizations and client meetings
- Handle client communications and monitor critical milestones throughout cases
- Collect, assess, and systematically arrange client financial and asset details such as banking, brokerage, and property documents
- Maintain organized physical and electronic client files and documentation systems
- Manage calendars by scheduling meetings, signings, and court hearings
- Monitor expenses related to cases and compile client matter information packets
- Manage and screen inbound and outbound communications with clients, lawyers, and external parties
- Prepare and file probate, estate administration, and other court documents as necessary
- Conduct legal and financial research upon request
- Carefully format, proofread, and finalize legal paperwork maintaining high accuracy
- Update and maintain document templates, checklists, and resources for practice areas
- Provide empathetic and outstanding client service, especially during delicate or emotional circumstances
- Uphold strict confidentiality and apply prudent independent judgment
- Execute additional assignments and special projects as designated
Qualifications
- At least three years’ experience working in a legal office as a paralegal or in a supportive capacity
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Outlook, Excel, and Teams
- Exceptional organizational, time management, and proofreading abilities
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Capacity to handle sensitive issues professionally with empathy and discretion
- Understanding of legal terminology, document formatting, and file management practices
- Able to effectively prioritize workload and adhere to deadlines in a dynamic environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a cooperative approach
- Comfortable working autonomously and collaboratively in team settings
- Preferred typing speed of 60 words per minute or higher
Education and Training
A bachelor’s degree and/or a paralegal certification is preferred.
