Job Overview
The Officer, Incident & Inspection Reporting is pivotal in aiding the Incident & Inspection Reporting division by executing field inspections, assisting with incident probes, and guaranteeing adherence to safety, security, and operational standards. This role demands active involvement with on-site operations to pinpoint, document, and report incidents and inspection feedback while driving continuous enhancements.
General Duties
- Follow divisional protocols, procedures, systems, and controls aligned with Group Delegation of Authority to meet legislative and organizational mandates.
- Provide consistent, professional, and cost-efficient services.
- Ensure timely adherence to organizational policies, standards, and reporting obligations.
Specific Responsibilities
- Conduct on-location audits of facilities and operations to verify compliance with safety and security mandates, documenting observations precisely.
- Assist incident responses by gathering data, interviewing witnesses, and recording incident scenes.
- Collect, manage, and document incident and inspection information accurately and comprehensively.
- Contribute to incident investigation reports and inspection documentation preparation.
- Observe compliance with internal guidelines and external regulations during fieldwork, reporting deviations to the lead.
- Collaborate with operational teams, contractors, and other stakeholders to foster safety consciousness and enforce reporting protocols.
- Engage in training and skill development concerning incident reporting, investigations, and safety procedures.
- Support follow-up tasks from incident investigations ensuring corrective measures are executed and recorded.
- Monitor and communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) related to incidents and inspections.
- Propose enhancements for field inspection procedures and reporting efficiency to management.
Qualifications & Experience
- Essential: High School Diploma or an equivalent credential.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in safety-related, inspection, incident reporting, or incident management roles based in the field.
- Preferred: Certification in Security Operations, Incident Management, Safety, or Control Room Operations.
- Preferred experience of at least 4 years in field roles tied to safety inspections, incident reporting, or management.
