Role Overview

This full-time, on-site position in Accra requires the Nanny to deliver attentive and developmentally appropriate care. Responsibilities include supervising daily activities, maintaining safety, and supporting children’s routines. The role also involves designing and facilitating educational and fun activities to encourage early childhood development and positive behavior.

Key Duties

• Oversee child supervision and daily routines to ensure wellbeing and safety.
• Plan and engage children in stimulating educational and recreational activities.
• Assist with early learning, social skill development, and emotional support.
• Prepare simple, nutritious meals and snacks following dietary needs.
• Support basic hygiene practices and keep play areas clean and orderly.
• Maintain effective communication with parents regarding children’s progress and daily needs.
• Adhere to household rules and schedules consistently.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience in babysitting, nannying, daycare, or similar childcare settings is strongly preferred.
• Solid understanding of childcare and early childhood development principles.
• Ability to prepare child-friendly meals safely, respecting dietary guidelines.
• Patient, empathetic, and able to communicate clearly with both children and adults.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to follow family instructions and routines accurately.
• Basic first aid knowledge or certification, capable of managing minor emergencies.
• At minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent; additional training in childcare or early education is desirable.
