Role Overview

The Manager of Mechanical, Electrical, Safety & Attractions (MESA) will be responsible for overseeing the management of mechanical, electrical, and attraction systems alongside fire safety and workplace health and safety within Jewel. As an integral part of the MESA team, the role includes the comprehensive supervision and coordination of critical building systems and attractions.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage M&E systems such as ACMV, electrical and ELV installations, fire and smoke control systems, and assigned M&E services.
• Oversee attractions including the Rain Vortex, Canopy Park, and other assigned attraction services.
• Ensure compliance with building standards by reviewing tenant and contractor technical drawings, calculations, and fit-out submissions.
• Monitor energy consumption, conduct technical analysis of utilities usage, and recommend cost-saving measures.
• Coordinate Green Mark recertification process, including appointing and managing consultants to maintain or enhance the building's sustainability rating.
• Lead implementation of smart facility management and technologies like the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS), automate workflows, and promote predictive maintenance practices.
• Manage maintenance budgets (OPEX & CAPEX) for M&E and attractions, ensuring cost control and expenditure oversight.
• Drive continuous improvements including process and procedure development, upgrade recommendations, lifecycle cost analysis, technical reporting, tender specifications, procurement, and approval processes.
• Administer service provider and vendor contracts, monitor performance, and ensure service levels meet or exceed expectations.
• Guarantee compliance with all work processes, safety protocols, quality controls, and statutory codes of practice.
• Coordinate with relevant authorities for certifications, operational licenses, and regulatory submissions.
• Enhance in-house technical capabilities and expertise.
• Engage effectively with multiple stakeholders including internal teams from leasing, marketing, attractions, mall operations, as well as external service providers and tenants.
• Serve as the designated Ride Manager for the Walking Net Attraction’s operating permit.
