Role Overview
The Store Manager will oversee the full operational performance of the retail location, steering strategic decisions to meet sales, service, and operational targets. This leadership role requires hands-on management to maintain compliance with company policies, enhance sales results, ensure operational efficiency, and cultivate an engaging environment for employees and customers alike.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and implement plans to achieve and surpass sales and profitability objectives.
- Monitor sales metrics daily and weekly, modifying tactics according to market conditions and competitor movements.
- Optimize selling opportunities through strategic product placement, promotions, and upselling.
- Maintain efficient inventory control to prevent stock shortages or excess.
- Motivate and develop a motivated team, fostering a positive workplace atmosphere.
- Recruit, train, and integrate new staff for seamless operations.
- Conduct performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and promote staff growth.
- Identify promising employees for advancement.
- Uphold high customer service standards aligned with brand ethos.
- Handle customer issues promptly, ensuring professional and satisfactory resolutions.
- Maintain a welcoming, customer-centric store environment.
- Use feedback to enhance service quality continually.
- Oversee daily operational tasks including stock replenishment, cash management, and store upkeep.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and operational procedures.
- Train staff on best practices and troubleshoot operational challenges.
- Maintain exemplary visual merchandising to align with brand guidelines.
- Regularly review and update store displays in collaboration with visual merchandising team according to seasonal and promotional needs.
