Manager

Position Summary

This position is responsible for steering a construction project from start to finish. The role focuses on keeping the budget under control, coordinating smoothly with vendors and stakeholders, and ensuring delivery on schedule while maintaining strong standards for quality, safety, and legal compliance.

Core Responsibilities

Site supervision and execution

• Carry out frequent site inspections to monitor day-to-day construction activity and confirm alignment with approved architectural and structural drawings.
• Plan and allocate labour, machinery, and materials so the site has the resources it needs at the right time.
• Track progress through work breakdown structures and project dashboards, and keep the site team responsible for meeting baseline timelines.

Quality and safety control

• Apply strict occupational health and safety practices to reduce the risk of accidents and on-site liabilities.
• Review work and materials regularly to make sure specifications are met and structural quality is maintained.
• Prepare and close out punch list or snagging items before the property is handed over to end users.

Budget and cost control

• Monitor project cash flow each month and compare actual spending with the approved budget to avoid overruns.
• Oversee contractors, sub-trades, and suppliers on site and ensure agreement terms are delivered as committed.
• Review, negotiate, and manage design changes or variation requests raised by stakeholders during execution.

Compliance and administration

• Ensure construction activities follow zoning requirements, building regulations, and environmental rules applicable to the project.
• Work with legal teams to obtain and keep all required state or municipal approvals, permits, and licences current.

Stakeholder communication

• Share clear and regular progress updates with senior leadership, including site status and financial outlook.
• Serve as the main on-ground contact for resolving disagreements, delays, or coordination issues between architects, consultants, PMC teams, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• B.E. or B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
• 8 to 10 years of total core construction experience.
• Within that background, 5 to 7 years should be in a leadership capacity.
• Experience in real estate development, mass housing projects, or building infrastructure is required.
