Key Responsibilities

• Monitor performance metrics of multiple sites and develop improvement plans.
• Implement workplace health and safety programs and coordinate relevant training sessions.
• Analyze safety data and incident patterns to allocate resources effectively to higher-risk areas.
• Conduct compliance audits ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations and recommend corrective actions where necessary.

Work Environment

You will be stationed on-site at one of Amazon's operational facilities such as fulfilment centers, sortation centers, or delivery stations. Being physically present enables you to observe processes closely and identify opportunities to enhance safety compliance and operational practices. Collaborating with various teams, you will gather insights and data to develop safer and more efficient work methods while facilitating training to elevate safety standards.

Team Overview

The Workplace Health and Safety team focuses on maintaining both physical and mental health standards across Amazon sites. Our collaboration extends to management, staff, and regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with both company policies and legislation. The team includes roles from safety technicians to program managers, all contributing to the continuous development and enforcement of high safety and wellness standards through diverse projects including inspections, process evaluations, and facility design assessments.

Qualifications

• Possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification aligned with the European Qualifications Framework (EFQ).
• Hold ASPP or RSPP certification.
• Possess knowledge of Italian Environment, Health and Safety laws.
• Demonstrate advanced proficiency in both Italian and English languages.

Preferred (Not Mandatory)

• Familiarity with Lean, 5S, or Kaizen methodologies.
• Experience in planning or leading environmentally sustainable initiatives.
