General Manager – Asia Pacific

Overview

An exceptional leadership position is available for a seasoned executive to direct the Asia Pacific operations of a global industrial technology firm, entering a new growth phase post a major acquisition. Located in Melbourne, this role holds complete P&L responsibility across the region and encompasses oversight of commercial strategy, operational efficiency, manufacturing, client engagement, and market development within Australia and the broader APAC area.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the APAC business operations with full profit and loss accountability.
• Formulate and implement strategies that drive regional growth.
• Discover new market opportunities in sectors such as industrial, infrastructure, and energy.
• Enhance commercial performance, profitability, and operational standards.
• Develop and guide a high-caliber leadership team throughout the region.
• Foster strong partnerships with key customers, collaborators, and industry participants.
• Collaborate with global departments to execute strategic priorities and ensure regional alignment.

Candidate Profile

• Experience as Managing Director, General Manager, or Regional Vice President.
• Track record of managing full P&L responsibilities in complex industrial or technical enterprises.
• Proven leadership of business operations across Australia and wider APAC locations.
• Strong commercial acumen with expertise in spotting and capitalizing on growth prospects.
• Outstanding skills in stakeholder engagement and team leadership.
• Background in industrial manufacturing, power generation, environmental tech, engineered products, infrastructure, or related industries.
• Experience in guiding organizations through acquisitions, integration, or major transformations is highly advantageous.
