About The Role
We seek a Fettler responsible for grinding surfaces of as-cast products to achieve the visual quality standards specified by customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Select products for fettling aligned with production schedules.
- Grind castings to the required form of supply.
- Use arc-air techniques to cast ribs and remove scale.
- Perform shot blasting and grit blasting on both as-cast and machined surfaces.
- Load castings utilizing an overhead pendant crane.
- Complete all required documentation in line with quality protocols.
- Maintain general cleanliness and housekeeping standards.
- Adhere strictly to safety procedures based on FVC’s safety guidelines throughout all tasks.
Candidate Profile
- Previous fettler experience within a heavy casting environment is essential.
- Basic knowledge of health, safety, and environmental practices.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude towards learning and skill development.
Preferred Qualifications
- Forklift Truck (FLT) license.
- Manual handling certification.
- Familiarity with modern manufacturing processes.
