About The Role

We seek a Fettler responsible for grinding surfaces of as-cast products to achieve the visual quality standards specified by customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Select products for fettling aligned with production schedules.
• Grind castings to the required form of supply.
• Use arc-air techniques to cast ribs and remove scale.
• Perform shot blasting and grit blasting on both as-cast and machined surfaces.
• Load castings utilizing an overhead pendant crane.
• Complete all required documentation in line with quality protocols.
• Maintain general cleanliness and housekeeping standards.
• Adhere strictly to safety procedures based on FVC’s safety guidelines throughout all tasks.

Candidate Profile

• Previous fettler experience within a heavy casting environment is essential.
• Basic knowledge of health, safety, and environmental practices.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude towards learning and skill development.

Preferred Qualifications

• Forklift Truck (FLT) license.
• Manual handling certification.
• Familiarity with modern manufacturing processes.
