Key Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair tasks on residential and commercial projects of varying duration, from a couple hours to several days.
• Engage with customers to explain necessary repairs, manage scope and cost expectations clearly.
• Build strong, lasting client relationships to encourage repeat business by delivering excellent service following the Mr. Handyman Way process.
• Self-manage work as assignments are often completed independently.
• Provide outstanding customer service, including requesting feedback and handling payments.
• Document jobs electronically in adherence with company procedures.
• Maintain professional presentation including use of personal protective equipment and protective booties to safeguard customer property.

Candidate Requirements

• Reside within the local area.
• At least five years of paid handyman experience.
• Ownership of basic general tools preferred; specialty tools will be provided.
• Capability to be insured to drive company vehicles; must pass background and driving record checks.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
• Comfort working safely at heights and overhead for extended periods.
• Maintain professional appearance and keep company vehicle in good condition.

Technical Skills Requested

• Expertise in three or more of the following areas: carpentry, bathroom and kitchen improvements, interior and exterior painting, drywall repairs (minor and major), general plumbing and electrical work where legally allowed, and floor installation and refinishing.
• Familiarity with building codes.
