Role Overview

This position serves as a pivotal role transforming intricate business data into clear, actionable insights that steer strategic initiatives. Collaborating closely with senior and executive leadership, the Director identifies opportunities, addresses critical challenges, and enhances performance through analytic solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead analytical projects independently across various business domains to boost efficiency, performance, and strategic results.
• Proactively detect business issues, performance gaps, and new opportunities, applying data-driven problem-solving methods.
• Design structured analytical frameworks by translating complex business inquiries into clear objectives, methods, and data requirements.
• Develop sophisticated analyses, models, dashboards, and reporting tools delivering prompt, actionable insights.
• Communicate findings and strategic recommendations effectively to senior leadership and executives.
• Create and maintain self-service dashboards granting business units easy access to key performance indicators.
• Utilize statistical techniques including segmentation, regression, hypothesis testing, and forecasting tailored to business needs.
• Interpret machine learning outcomes and translate technical results into practical guidance for business leaders.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering and Analytics Engineering teams to fulfill data requirements, improve data models, and advance analytical capabilities.
• Manage multiple priority projects, balancing resources while emphasizing business impact.
• Prepare to grow the analytics function into a leadership role involving mentoring and developing analytics professionals.

Candidate Profile and Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative, analytical, or business-related discipline; an advanced degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years' experience in business analytics, strategy, or related areas with demonstrated hands-on analytical work.
• Proven experience delivering complex analyses and recommendations to executive and C-suite audiences.
• Skill in cross-functional collaboration and influencing decisions through data insights.
• Proficiency in SQL, routinely extracting, analyzing, and interpreting data.
• Experience with visualization and business intelligence tools such as Sigma, Power BI, Tableau, or equivalents.
• Familiarity with dbt and contemporary data transformation workflows.
• Strong grounding in statistical analysis—including descriptive stats, regression, segmentation, hypothesis testing, and forecasting.
• Capability to interpret machine learning outputs and clearly communicate them to non-technical stakeholders.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills simplifying complex concepts for executives.
• Sharp business judgment with aptitude for identifying relevant questions and designing suitable analytical approaches.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in fast-paced environments.
• Advanced computer skills and capacity to navigate numerous systems with precision and efficiency.
• Professionalism, adaptability, resilience, and openness to feedback for continuous improvement.
• Availability to commit full-time to the role.

Compensation and Benefits

• Annual salary estimated between $191,500 and $220,000, dependent on location, skills, experience, and qualifications.
