Overview
This full-time Desktop / IT Support Technician role, based in Denver, CO, focuses on monitoring and managing the full lifecycle of various devices including laptops, desktops, monitors, and peripherals from acquisition through upgrades and eventual retirement.
Key Responsibilities
- Track and oversee devices such as laptops, workstations, monitors, and peripherals from procurement to disposal, ensuring timely upgrades and replacements.
- Support and maintain inventory with Install, Move, Add, Change (IMAC) operations.
- Serve as the on-site IT liaison for end users, providing direct technical support.
- Deploy hardware and conduct OS refresh processes.
- Provide Level 1 support for printers and multifunction devices.
- Administer mobile device management using Intune.
- Utilize SCCM for software deployment and management tasks.
- Support key software environments including Office/M 365, Internet Explorer, VPNs, and Microsoft management tools like Active Directory and Computer Management, with effective troubleshooting skills.
- Manage patching and vulnerability processes for workstations to maintain security compliance.
- Maintain and update management platforms for device provisioning, configuration, deployment, and inventory tracking.
- Handle tickets and service requests through ServiceNow, including incident and problem management.
- Develop and maintain knowledge base articles related to common incidents, issues, and service procedures.
- Manage asset inventory and configuration records for both hardware and software within ServiceNow.
- Provide basic audiovisual support for meeting rooms alongside an external AV service provider.
- Identify and propose continuous improvement opportunities in IT support processes.
- Offer hands-on resolution of customer infrastructure issues related to end-user computing.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Proven experience with deskside support processes.
- Strong oral and written communication abilities.
- Familiarity with mobile device management platforms like Intune.
- Knowledge and practical experience with SCCM software deployment.
- Competency in Microsoft tools including Active Directory, Computer Management, and Office 365.
- Experience with patch management and workstation vulnerability assessment.
- Capability to manage service requests and troubleshooting using ServiceNow.
- Basic audiovisual troubleshooting and support skills.
Additional Information
This position is full-time and requires presence onsite in Denver, Colorado. The role involves collaboration with business users and adherence to company IT policies and service agreements. The incumbent will work on IT infrastructure and asset lifecycle management while providing frontline support.
