Role Overview
As a Courier/DOT Driver, you will be responsible for operating company vehicles to perform timely and courteous delivery and pick-up of packages. You will ensure shipments comply with FedEx's service standards and provide excellent customer interactions. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications and Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must hold a valid license appropriate for the vehicle assigned.
- Ability to lift packages weighing up to 50 lbs; capable of handling heavier packages with use of equipment or assistance from others.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills; must maintain a neat appearance due to regular customer contact.
- Must meet Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (section 391) including passing a medical exam aligned with FMCSA or FAA standards.
- This position is non-covered safety-sensitive; requires maintaining alertness and safe work practices at all times.
- Minimum age 21 years.
- Proficient in reading and speaking English sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with safety officials, and comply with FMCSA enforcement guidelines.
Working Schedule & Salary
- Work hours are Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 6:30 PM.
- Compensation ranges between $21.05 and $31.26 per hour.
