Surrey Schools, the largest school district in British Columbia, offers numerous contract teaching roles. Instead of individual advertisements, teaching positions are posted weekly via a dedicated bulletin to manage the high volume of vacancies.

Bulletin Posting Schedule
- Summer Bulletin: Opens July 23, 2026 at 4:00 PM, closes August 24, 2026 at 4:00 PM
- From August through March: Bulletin opens on Thursdays and closes on Mondays
- Following statutory holidays: Bulletin opens Thursday and closes Tuesday
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education (Elementary or Secondary)
- Valid British Columbia Teaching Certificate issued by the Teacher Regulation Branch (TRB)
- Registration with the Teacher Qualification Service (TQS)
- Strong knowledge of the British Columbia curriculum
- Proven ability to create and execute effective instructional strategies supporting all learners in an inclusive, student-centered setting
- Dedication to continuous professional development
- Enthusiasm for fostering creative, engaging, and inclusive classrooms
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities

The salary ranges from $59,711 to $109,520 annually, determined by experience, full-time equivalent status, and qualifications as per the Collective Agreement.
