Surrey Schools, the largest school district in British Columbia, offers numerous contract teaching roles. Instead of individual advertisements, teaching positions are posted weekly via a dedicated bulletin to manage the high volume of vacancies.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Education (Elementary or Secondary)
Valid British Columbia Teaching Certificate issued by the Teacher Regulation Branch (TRB)
Registration with the Teacher Qualification Service (TQS)
Strong knowledge of the British Columbia curriculum
Proven ability to create and execute effective instructional strategies supporting all learners in an inclusive, student-centered setting
Dedication to continuous professional development
Enthusiasm for fostering creative, engaging, and inclusive classrooms
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities

Additional Information

The salary ranges from $59,711 to $109,520 annually, determined by experience, full-time equivalent status, and qualifications as per the Collective Agreement.
