Position Overview
The Cleaning Attendant is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order within the company's office premises, reporting directly to the Office Manager.
Daily Duties
- Dispose of trash from all designated containers.
- Dust surfaces such as desks, tables, and receptionist areas.
- Vacuum floor coverings.
- Clean restrooms thoroughly.
- Wipe windows and counters to maintain shine and hygiene.
- Keep the company kitchen area clean and orderly.
Regular Responsibilities
- Mop tiled floors to ensure surfaces remain spotless.
- Dust window blinds to prevent dust buildup.
- Manage inventory levels for cleaning supplies to avoid shortages.
- Abide by all organizational policies and procedures while performing tasks.
- Perform any other cleaning-related assignments as delegated by management.
Qualifications and Experience
- Maintain a tidy and professional personal appearance at all times.
- Preferred candidates will have two years of janitorial work experience.
- Capable of maintaining accurate supply inventories.
- Skilled in operating various cleaning equipment effectively.
Physical Requirements
The role demands frequent standing, walking, and verbal communication. Tasks require hand dexterity, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. Occasionally, sitting is needed. Employees must be able to lift and carry loads up to 50 pounds regularly, and up to 100 pounds occasionally. Visual capabilities including close, distance, peripheral, and color vision, along with depth perception and focus adjustments, are essential.
Work Environment
Work may occasionally be performed within the production plant, exposing employees to moving mechanical parts, wet or humid conditions, elevated areas, airborne particles, fumes, vibration, and typically loud noise levels.
