This position is based at Banana Island Resort Doha By Anantara in Doha, Qatar.

Role Overview

We are looking for a vigilant and proactive Wave Pool Instructor to handle the supervision and smooth operation of wave pool activities. The incumbent will ensure guest safety, enforce pool rules, and provide exemplary service, fostering a secure and enjoyable aquatic environment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee wave pool activities to guarantee adherence to safety protocols and operational standards.
• Conduct safety orientation sessions and educate guests about pool rules.
• Continuously observe swimmers and wave pool conditions to prevent incidents and provide prompt emergency responses.
• Assist guests with safe entry and exit from the wave pool facilities.
• Apply and enforce height, age, and safety restrictions according to park policies.
• Address incidents, emergencies, and guest queries swiftly and efficiently.
• Carry out regular checks of the pool area, safety equipment, flotation devices, and signage.
• Collaborate with lifeguards, operations personnel, and maintenance teams to maintain seamless pool operation.
• Ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of pool decks and guest zones.
• Document incidents, maintenance issues, and daily operational activities accurately.
• Assist with special events, aquatic programs, and group activities as required.
• Provide outstanding guest service to maintain a welcoming and positive environment.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum educational qualification: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in aquatic centers, water parks, swim coaching, or guest service roles is advantageous.
• Mandatory possession of lifeguard certification or willingness to obtain it prior to starting.
• Certifications in CPR, First Aid, and water rescue are preferred.
• Strong swimming skills and comprehensive knowledge of water safety procedures.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Able to remain alert and composed during emergencies.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts including weekends, public holidays, and peak operational periods.
