Role Overview
If you enjoy working outdoors and have a strong work ethic along with a full New Zealand driver's license, this opportunity is suited for you. The Vegetation Control Operator role encompasses various responsibilities focused on maintaining local parks and reserves.
Key Responsibilities
- Executing vegetation control tasks including spray operations and plant/pest identification.
- Applying organic herbicides to manage weed growth.
- Performing maintenance of parks vegetation such as planting, pruning of roses, shrubs, and herbaceous perennials.
- Mowing, rubbish collection, and turf upkeep.
- Engaging in the annual cleanup activities involving pruning, hedge trimming, and pest control.
Candidate Profile
- A preference for candidates with prior experience in a similar role, although it is not mandatory.
- Holding a current full driver's license with the capability to drive manual vehicles.
- Compliance with company Health and Safety protocols to ensure safety of self, colleagues, and community.
