Position Overview
Insight Global is recruiting a Sourcing Specialist to be part of the Supply Chain team at a premier academic medical center in New York City. This position focuses on the strategic sourcing of non-procedural clinical products and requires managing all sourcing stages, from quotes to contracts.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the end-to-end management of quotes and contracting processes.
- Analyze both financial and qualitative data to discover sourcing opportunities.
- Lead and coordinate requests for proposals (RFPs) to optimize supplier selection.
- Maintain and enhance vendor relationships through periodic reviews and evaluations.
- Negotiate clear, comprehensive supplier contracts with established service level expectations.
- Serve as an intermediary to ensure alignment among departments and stakeholders.
- Facilitate supplier transitions to ensure smooth operations.
- Identify and deploy cost-saving measures throughout the supply chain.
- Continuously improve supply chain processes for greater efficiency and effectiveness.
Required Qualifications
- At least one year of experience in strategic sourcing or procurement.
- Skilled in contract review and negotiation, including redlining.
- Experience managing vendor relationships.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or a related discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in the healthcare industry is advantageous.
