Sourcing Specialist

Position Overview

Insight Global is recruiting a Sourcing Specialist to be part of the Supply Chain team at a premier academic medical center in New York City. This position focuses on the strategic sourcing of non-procedural clinical products and requires managing all sourcing stages, from quotes to contracts.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the end-to-end management of quotes and contracting processes.
• Analyze both financial and qualitative data to discover sourcing opportunities.
• Lead and coordinate requests for proposals (RFPs) to optimize supplier selection.
• Maintain and enhance vendor relationships through periodic reviews and evaluations.
• Negotiate clear, comprehensive supplier contracts with established service level expectations.
• Serve as an intermediary to ensure alignment among departments and stakeholders.
• Facilitate supplier transitions to ensure smooth operations.
• Identify and deploy cost-saving measures throughout the supply chain.
• Continuously improve supply chain processes for greater efficiency and effectiveness.

Required Qualifications

• At least one year of experience in strategic sourcing or procurement.
• Skilled in contract review and negotiation, including redlining.
• Experience managing vendor relationships.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or a related discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in the healthcare industry is advantageous.
