Role Summary
We are seeking a result-driven Senior Executive in Accounts and Finance to ensure financial precision, statutory compliance, and excellence in reporting. The individual will play a pivotal role in enhancing financial controls, facilitating timely financial closures, and generating insightful Management Information Systems (MIS) reports to underpin organizational business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle GST-related queries and manage departmental issues effectively.
- Responsible for timely filing of GSTR-9 annual returns each December.
- Ensure punctual monthly TDS payments.
- Oversee customer and vendor account creation in ERP systems within 24 hours to maintain accuracy.
- Utilize ERP and other systems to streamline processes and improve report precision.
- Continuously refine financial processes, controls, and checklists for enhanced performance.
- Prepare comprehensive Stock Statements for banking purposes.
- Generate detailed Profitability and Margin Reports including Profit & Loss statements.
- Manage ICO Reporting as well as Marine and Credit Insurance documentation.
- Accurately book vendor expenses, invoices, debit and credit notes, and utility payments.
- Maintain and update corporate card statements and prepare vendor payment files.
- Record branch-wise salary transactions and perform daily purchase review and validation.
- Conduct ledger reconciliations and balance confirmations, improving frameworks to close financial discrepancies.
- Perform branch audits and visits to ensure compliance with prescribed processes.
- Support internal and external audits through adequate documentation and process adherence.
- Identify process control gaps and implement necessary corrective measures.
- Engage actively in professional development initiatives and complete relevant training programs.
- Stay abreast of regulatory changes and best industry practices to maintain compliance.
Candidate Profile
- Possess a Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance; MBA or CA qualifications are advantageous.
- Demonstrated organizational skills, accuracy, and proactive communication abilities.
- Team-oriented with a flexible and commercially minded approach.
- Experience ranging between 3 to 6 years in finance and accounting roles.
