Role Overview
Reporting directly to the Project Manager, the Project Coordinator plays a critical role in overseeing daily operations and ensuring conformance to project standards and budgets. This position involves thorough inspection, coordination, material procurement, cost and schedule tracking, and maintaining consistent communication with stakeholders to efficiently advance project milestones.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret technical and administrative project documents.
- Conduct daily inspections to confirm work meets standards.
- Update the Project Manager on project progress and collaborate with site management on methods.
- Coordinate ordering of essential materials alongside the Superintendent.
- Track quantities and assign cost codes to enable productivity monitoring and precise job cost forecasting.
- Execute cost control functions throughout project life, including budget and schedule tracking.
- Maintain records of hours worked, expenses, and budget updates.
- Manage change monitoring and coordination within the project team.
- Identify, document, and resolve issues related to budgets and timelines.
- Format and compile information as per client submission guidelines.
- Ensure quality and accuracy in project reports, executive summaries, and dashboards.
- Handle document control, including formatting and maintaining records in a cloud-based system.
- Assist in preparing final project records, such as as-built drawings.
- Organize and actively participate in meetings.
- Establish and sustain communication between suppliers, subcontractors, professionals, and clients.
- Support various field duties as required on the job site.
Candidate Requirements
- Post-secondary education in Civil Engineering or a similar field, or equivalent combination of technical training and relevant experience.
- Two to five years of experience within the construction industry, preferably civil construction.
- Capability to interpret and analyze technical design drawings.
- Proficiency in scheduling and planning construction site activities.
- Strong knowledge of software tools including Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project, BlueBeam, and AutoCAD.
- Experience in cost analysis, financial control, and reporting.
- Bilingualism is considered an asset; however, excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are mandatory.

Compensation
The anticipated salary range for this role is between $60,000 and $100,000 annually. Actual pay will be determined by relevant experience, qualifications, geographic location, and internal fairness policies. This base salary forms part of a broader total rewards package, potentially including performance incentives, extended health and wellness benefits, retirement savings plans, and career growth prospects.
