Procurement Officer

Role Overview

We are recruiting a Procurement Officer to join a construction company, tasked with overseeing the procurement of goods and services to support organizational needs efficiently.

Core Responsibilities

• Oversee daily procurement tasks including handling purchase requisitions.
• Identify and assess suppliers while securing competitive quotations.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery timelines.
• Create purchase orders and track timely shipment of procured items.
• Conduct market analyses to discover cost reduction opportunities.
• Keep meticulous procurement records and supplier information updated.
• Ensure adherence to procurement policies and approval processes.
• Collaborate with departments such as Finance, Stores, Operations, Projects to ensure smooth procurement operations.
• Evaluate supplier performance and address any procurement-related challenges.

Qualifications and Experience

• Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or related disciplines.
• Possession of professional certification like CIPS is advantageous.
• At least three years of relevant experience in procurement.
• Familiarity with ERP or procurement software systems.
• Background in construction, manufacturing, logistics, or related sectors is preferred.
