Maintenance Planner (IBM Maximo)

About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned Maintenance Planner proficient in IBM Maximo to support vital process plant operations in Abu Dhabi within the oil and gas/petrochemical sector. This position acts as a crucial link between engineering strategy and on-site execution by leveraging Maximo's data frameworks to design, schedule, and refine maintenance workflows that reduce equipment downtime and ensure dependable production.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage work orders by reviewing, prioritizing, and planning both preventive and corrective maintenance activities directly through Maximo.
• Create detailed job plans comprising nested tasks, calculate labor requirements precisely, allocate necessary crafts or crews, and specify required materials and tools.
• Set up and control preventive maintenance using calendar intervals, meter triggers, and develop schedules for plant shutdowns and overhauls.
• Employ advanced scheduling tools within Maximo, such as the Graphical Scheduler, to plan resource utilization, sequence dependent tasks, balance manpower, and handle scheduling constraints effectively.
• Coordinate material requirements within job plans and confirm availability from warehouse inventories prior to maintenance execution.

Qualifications

• At least 3 to 4 years of direct experience maintaining process plant equipment complemented by a minimum of 1 year focused on work planning.
• Comprehensive expertise with CMMS platforms, specifically IBM Maximo.
• Proven skill in developing and controlling complex job plans, maintenance schedules, and resource-leveled work assignments.
• Strong coordination abilities with experience working alongside Materials Technicians, Central Stores, and Field Maintenance Supervisors to ensure smooth weekly maintenance schedules.
• Previous involvement in oil & gas, petrochemical, or comparable heavy industrial or turnaround operations is highly desirable.
