Team Overview

The Adult Day Centre located in Latrobe operates with a close-knit team dedicated to providing social support programs aimed at enhancing wellness and encouraging reablement among its clients.

Role Summary

We invite applications for a full-time Diversional Therapist to lead social support initiatives in a nurturing and compassionate setting. The position focuses on wellness and reablement, requiring a client-centered approach to planning, implementing tailored care, and conducting both individual and group activities within the Aged Care Framework to meet client-specific needs.

Key Responsibilities and Requirements

  • Demonstrate a sincere passion for supporting elderly individuals and people with disabilities by addressing their unique care requirements and facilitating engaging programs.
  • Exhibit proficiency in computer skills to effectively manage and document client care.

Position Details

  • This is a permanent, full-time day role involving approximately 76 hours every two weeks, with final working hours subject to negotiation.
  • The selection process may be used over the next twelve months to fill related positions in full-time, part-time, or casual capacities.
  • The salary is set between $70,033 and $75,114 annually, exclusive of a 12% superannuation contribution.
  • Salary arrangements comply with the Public Sector Union Wages Agreement 2025.

Preferred Qualifications and Eligibility

  • Certificate IV in Leisure and Lifestyle is desirable.
  • Current First Aid Certification is preferred.
  • Possession of a Medium Rigid (MR) class Licence with Ancillary Certificate for operating public passenger vehicles is advantageous.
  • A valid current driver’s license is required.
